Job Description
General manager is typically responsible for sales and for creating a high-performance and successful sales team. In addition, general manager understands the market, manage the sales personnel, understand the sales departments' financial data and deliver the best customer service.- Ensuring effective account management by both Direct and Indirect channels in their assigned territory on a quarterly basis, with specific action plans depending on customer type.- Identifying and resolving customer issues and concerns when required.- Possessing a deep knowledge of the market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies and proactively develop and modify strategies and tactics accordingly.- Developing key strategic customer relationship management.- Creating and implementing effective direct and Indirect sales strategies and operational plans and lead the sales team towards the achievement of the company wider sales objectives.- Driving business planning process, including sales management and budget control.- Providing leadership through effective communication of vision, active coaching and development while comparing sales results to goals and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary- Ensuring management of territory base and customers.- Identifying distribution coverage gaps and setting up adequate distribution channels.- Establishing effective relationships and collaborations with other departments (Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, etc.) to address key business issues and opportunities.- Ensuring effective hiring, orientation, training, development and retention of sales staff.- Developing competencies and processes required to create an effective and efficient sales organization.- Maintaining a high personal level of the wider industry and business knowledge.- Preparing a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, & adherence to goals.- Driving the use of analytic to enhance sales forecasting and strategy formulation capabilities.- Providing support to audit processes and quality management systems as required.- Maintaining HD center well with profitable and expanding HD center business.- Educating and training your team to become professional team.- Achieving the budget with enough gross profit.- Perform other duties as assigned.
