Job Description
- Act as global lead and project management expert.
- Define the PMO strategy, lead and design the implementation of a common project management methodology/approach, governance, standards and tools to drive and facilitate the successful delivery of project.
- Ensure appropriate design, implementation and delivery of all strategic projects including the organization of Steering Committees and Head of Function.
- Foster collaborative and mutually supportive relationships with Project Managers/Leaders and stakeholders, assess cross-functional project team capability, provide coaching, training and support to enhance the organization’s project/program management capability, collaborative development and project results.
- Lead the development and implementation of PMO governance, portfolio management, report and review frameworks to provide a holistic view of organizational project activity including planning, modelling, budgeting, forecasting and prioritization.
- Support Project Managers/Leaders to define project scope, requirements, goals and deliverables to support business goals, in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Monitor and report progress of strategic projects and ensure timely escalation, remove barriers and facilitate change management.
- Manage interdependencies and co-ordinate across projects to ensure that information relating to project deliverables, risks and issues are effectively communicated to Project Sponsors and stakeholders and key performance indicators are monitored and evaluated.
- Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of MD Division’s vision, business plans and key business drivers by collaborating with Leadership Team on a regular basis.
- Facilitate the preparation of project cost-benefit analysis, monitor progress, cost and success of initiatives and conduct post-implementation reviews with project teams.
- Lead the development, administration and measurement of project management and business analysis standards, best practice, processes and procedures.
- Perform other duties and complete special assignment.
Qualifications
Requirement
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Project Management/Business Management or related fields
- Minimum 5 years project management experience in mid-to-large size company, preferable international manufacturing industry
- Experience in change management, project management implementation & governance, methodology, standards and tools
- Experience of managing large-scale projects on a global or regional level
- Proven track record of managing PMO teams including cross-functional scope project on time and within budget, preferable meeting client expectations and business objectives
- Experience working in multi-cultural organizations, ideally in Asia
- Change agent with the ability to influence all levels of the organization
- Strategic planning and decision-making
- Multiple project portfolio management
- Building and leading a successful team including staffing, coaching and mentoring
- Strong communication skills with proactive and independent working mentality
