  • Job Description

    1. Strategic Trade & Ocean Product Leadership
    - Develop and execute country ocean freight strategies aligned with regional and global business objectives.
    - Analyze market trends, trade lane developments, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.
    - Drive ocean product development and service enhancements to strengthen market competitiveness.
    - Provide local market intelligence and recommendations to regional and global management teams.

    2. Ocean Product P&L and Volume Growth
    - Own and manage the ocean freight product P&L, ensuring revenue growth and profitability targets are achieved.
    - Develop and implement business plans to increase shipment volumes and market share.
    - Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), financial performance, and operational efficiency.
    -Identify opportunities for cost optimization and margin improvement.

    3. Procurement & Carrier Management
    - Establish and maintain strategic relationships with shipping lines, carriers, and key service providers.
    - Lead carrier negotiations to secure competitive rates, service commitments, and capacity allocation.
    - Evaluate carrier performance and manage procurement strategies to ensure service quality and profitability.
    - Monitor market conditions and optimize carrier selection based on business requirements.

    4. Local Commercial & Pricing Support
    - Support sales teams with ocean freight solutions, pricing strategies, and customer proposals.
    - Provide competitive market pricing and commercial guidance to maximize business opportunities.
    -Collaborate with key account teams to develop tailored logistics solutions for customers.
    Participate in customer meetings and business reviews to strengthen client relationships.

    5. Team Leadership & Network Collaboration
    -Lead, coach, and develop the ocean freight team to achieve business objectives and operational excellence.
    - Foster collaboration across country, regional, and global teams to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing.
    - Drive a high-performance culture focused on customer satisfaction, profitability, and continuous improvement.
    - Support talent development, succession planning, and organizational growth initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    - Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
    - Minimum 8–12 years of experience in ocean freight forwarding, shipping, or logistics industry.
    - Proven leadership experience in managing ocean freight products, trade lanes, or logistics operations.
    - Strong expertise in P&L management, pricing strategy, and volume growth initiatives.
    - Demonstrated experience in carrier management, procurement, and rate negotiations.
    - Strong commercial acumen with deep understanding of ocean freight market dynamics and customer needs.
    - Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
    - Ability to work effectively in a regional and global matrix organization.
    - Proficient in English communication, both written and spoken.
