• Job Description

  PRIMARY FUNCTION
  - Responsible for all areas relating to accounting reporting
  - Responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements
  - Supervise seven staff and responsible for managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner
  - Address tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, accounting reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities
  
  RESPONSIBILITY
  (1.) Responsible for overall accounting tasks
  a. Ensure all revenues and expenses are recorded in proper accounts
  b. Investigate and follow up expenses
  c. Ensure all accounts are treated correctly according to accounting standards (Thai GAAP)
  d. Review and set up proper accounting procedures to ensure a sound internal control in place
  e. Ensure a proper valuation of inventories by month-end
  f. Ensure a timely reconciliation with statutory books of affiliated entities
  g. Ensure a timely reconciliation of all inter-company accounts
  h. Liaise with Auditors during interim and final audits
  i. Provide necessary support during tax audits, and other tax-related matters, when required
  
  (2.) Conduct Asia consolidated financial statements
  a. Conduct financial statements for each entity under corporate reporting format
  b. Conduct consolidated financial statements for Asia within imposed time limits
  c. Coordinate with accounting firms in overseas for all issues related to financial statements and accounting matters
  
  (3.) Monthly reporting
  a. Provide Management with expense analysis, explanation of variances and reconciliations as required
  b. Prepare a monthly report on the Financial Statements and the accounting team activity
  
  (4.) Budgeting and forecasting
  a. Prepare the annual budget
  b. Prepare financial projections and forecasts when required
  c. Participate in investment projects assessment
  
  (5.) Costing and Inventory
  a. Oversee costing for Asia and ensure standard cost is properly maintained in the system
  b. Monitor variances between standard cost and actual cost and propose to adjust if needed
  c. Ensure inventory is properly controlled and monitor a monthly physical stocktaking
  
  (6.) Manage the Accounting team
  a. Give advice to subordinates when required
  b. Ensure accounting staff understand and perform the tasks appropriately
  c. Ensure an adequate organization of the team
  d. Prepare annual appraisals and follow up individual objectives
  e. Organise periodic trips to affiliated entities, as required, in view of monitoring local accounting activities (internal audit)
