Job Description
1. Export/Import & Procurement Operations
• Understand export/import regulations and prepare/review documentation in compliance with rules.
• Identify procurement challenges and develop/implement solutions.
• Plan and execute cost reduction initiatives, achieving numerical targets.
• Assess procurement risks, establish BCP, and implement risk mitigation measures.
• Manage delivery schedules and negotiate lead times for purchased materials and components.
• Conduct necessary investigations for new business relationships to assess supplier status and risks.
• Understand and execute subcontractor management methods.
• Recognize the necessity of inventory control for free-issued materials and carry out inventory operations.
• Collaborate with relevant departments to resolve unexpected debt protection issues.
• Understand the difference between regular inspection and consignment inspection, and instruct appropriate inspection tasks to departments and subordinates.
• Handle debt protection issues and resolve them in cooperation with related departments.
2. Management & Leadership
• Supervise and guide subordinates to achieve work plans and departmental goals.
• Support staff in acquiring knowledge and multitasking skills.
• Provide quick solutions to problems and collaborate with related departments.
• Promote continuous improvement with enthusiasm and flexibility.
3. Business Improvement & Analysis
• Conduct GAP analysis (plan vs. actual, root cause investigation).
• Prepare and explain reports on industry trends and challenges related to raw materials.
• Apply and share updated requirements for management systems, driving continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Requirement
• Language: English proficiency is mandatory (business level for smooth communication with Japan HQ). Japanese proficiency is a plus.
• Education: Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, International Trade, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Over 10 years of procurement/purchasing experience in manufacturing or global companies, with proven managerial experience, with over 3 years in management level.
• Understand and comply with Japan HQ global regulations (compliance, export control, internal control, safety).
• IT Skills: Experience with ERP (SAP or equivalent), procurement management systems, advanced Excel functions, and data analysis tools.English Level
