Role Description:The Product Quality Manager is responsible for driving product and supplier quality excellence across the Asia region. The role requires a strong quality mindset, customer-oriented approach, and a proactive attitude toward problem solving and continuous improvement.This position works closely with Global Quality, strategic suppliers, contract manufacturers (CMs), customers, R&D, and operations teams to ensure consistent, data-driven quality performance aligned with system-level quality and reliability requirements.Key Responsibilities• Define and own supplier and CM quality performance metrics, including PPM / DPQL, yield, COPQ, and other key indicators; drive data-based corrective and preventive actions to achieve measurable quality improvements aligned with system-level quality and reliability targets.• Drive supplier and CM corrective actions (SCAR / 8D), ensure timely closure, and verify effectiveness through data and on-site validation.• Lead strategic supplier and CM quality engagement during NPI phases (EVT / DVT / PVT), ensuring proactive risk identification, proper quality planning, and successful qualification activities such as FAI and PPAP.• Develop and execute product category–specific quality plans throughout the product realization lifecycle.• Work closely with R&D, CMs, and customers to ensure product documentation, specifications, and quality acceptance criteria are complete, accurate, and fully aligned across all stakeholders.• Handle customer quality complaints with prompt response; lead root cause analysis and drive effective short-term containment and long-term corrective actions.• Monitor CTQ / CTP characteristics to ensure manufacturing processes remain stable and under control.• Conduct regular Gemba walks at CM and supplier sites to identify real issues, validate data, and drive rapid improvements.• Collect, analyze, and interpret quality and manufacturing data; generate quality reports for management review and customer communication.• Lead CM and supplier assessments and quality audits; promote best practices and continuously improve supplier quality capability.• Ensure all quality-related documents and records are properly managed, traceable, and audit-ready.• Monitor and support Outgoing Quality Control (OQC) and Customer Audit (CA) processes at CM sites.• Lead critical quality issue investigations, including technical failure analysis, failure reproduction, and structured root cause analysis.• Lead regular cross-functional quality meetings to drive ongoing product and process improvements with operations, engineering, and other stakeholders.• Ensure strong alignment with Global Quality on quality metrics, processes, and governance (e.g., quality contracts, control plans), supporting a consistent and integrated global quality and reliability framework.
