  - Lead cost estimation for entire-plant international projects.
  - Review cost structures and identify key items for consideration.
  - Analyze market costs, compare them with internal costs, and develop countermeasures.
  - Decide which equipment to request quotations for from vendors.
  - Organize risk analysis meetings covering safety, engineering, guarantees, project management, and credibility.
  - Consider currency risk in cost estimates.
  - Consider contingency risk in cost estimates.
  - Consider escalation and inflation risks in cost estimates.
  - Manage all cost-estimation supporting evidence.
  - Consider gross margin, EBIT, and other relevant factors in cost estimates.
  - Prepare cost sheets using internal and external information, including in-house cost data adjusted for capacity.
  - Calculate project cash flow using interest rates.
  - Address tax issues and determine suitable costs by coordinating internally and with external parties when necessary.
